Individual XLIGHTS LEDs (including MAXXLights LEDs):

General Tip: While each and every XLIGHTS and MAXXLights LED is tested prior to shipping, please test each LED you purchase before you install it in your R/C project or other device. While failure rates are near 0 (since 2003), it is always possible that an LED could get damaged during packaging or shipping. We want your experience with your new XLIGHTS to be excellent so please allow us to replace any defective component as soon as possible.

Power
: Each XLIGHTS LED should be powered with 4.8VDC to 8VDC (MAX). Ensure that the proper polarities are used when connecting your XLIGHT LED directly to a Receiver Output channel connection (typically 4.8VDC to 6VDC) or through an XLIGHTS LINK-7(tm) Harness. Failure to supply enough voltage will result in weak light output. If you apply too much power, exceeding the 8VDC power limit, you will damage the LED or significantly reduce the life of the LED.

Connectors: Most MAXXLight LEDs were supplied with 2-pin or 3-pin Servo connectors using industry standard black or brown for the ground (OVDC) lead wire and orange or red for the 4.8VDC-8VDC power lead wire. Some newer XLIGHTS LEDs were also supplied with a Red 2-pin connector with the same wiring. In all cases, proper polarity should always be verified before making connection with your Receiver or custom power supply.
